Graduation Ceremony of 2016 UFS Graduates at Hangzhou Campus

Our 2016 UFS graduates have successfully completed their high school study. All UFS graduates with an average score 9.0 have been admitted to undergraduate studies at Australian Go8 universities. The three universities chosen by the graduands include University of Melbourne, University of New South Wales and The University of Sydney.


On 6 January 2017, Hangzhou Entel Foreign Language School held its 2016 UFS graduation ceremony in the lecture hall. School leaders, UFS teachers, parents and UFS International students attended the ceremony. UFS graduates Zhou Rui and Chen Lifan presided over the ceremony. 

All the attendees at the ceremony were moved by a video record of the UFS graduates’ development over the almost three years they spent in the program. Past schoolmates, who are now students in Australia, participated in its production and expressed their congratulations and best wishes during the show.


Principal Ren Jianhua gave a speech at the graduation ceremony. First, he congratulated all the UF graduates. Then, he expressed his sincere thanks to all the parents , teachers and students. Principal Ren said, the 2016 UFS graduates are an excellent group and he hoped that all of the graduates would carry forward the traditions of love , respect, positivity and consideration as they moved into university life.

Ms Zhang Shujun, Director from AHEAD Education, made a statement at the ceremony. She expressed her pride in the UFS graduates for their efforts and accomplishments. She hoped all the graduates could maintain the desire to pursue higher learning and still maintain a calm and peaceful attitude during a tiring and pressure-filled university life. Ms Zhang hoped that the graduates would not lose their youthful passion and longing for a better and brighter future. At the same time, she expressed her thanks to all the 2016 UFS school leaders, parents and teachers for their care, concern and support. 

Tu Sirui claimed the honour of being first in this years’ global GPA list within the Commerce stream. Tu expressed her thanks to everyone at school and said she felt lucky to be a student at Hangzhou Entel Foreign Language School. She told her classmates they were the best she had ever met and encouraged her classmates to remain harmonious, friendly, hard-working and motivated throughout their tertiary studies.

Kiran spoke on behalf of the UFS foreign teachers. He said felt pleasure in seeing the the students’ language talent, energy and efforts had brought success and that he hopes that all the UF graduates would continue the habit of reading, learning and broadening their horizons.


Ms Yu Luofang , who represented the parents, congratulated the students on their successful completion of UFS program. She thanked the teachers for assisting to cultivate their children and hoped all the graduates would keep a positive attitude while studying so far from home in a strange and potentially lonely environment. She also encouraged them to develop their professional talents to make them more able to accept responsibilities in the future.


Mr Wu Yuezhou, a Science student at the University of Melbourne and a member of the first UFS graduating class, made a speech. Firstly, he expressed his congratulations to the graduates on receiving offers from world-class universities and shared some of his thoughts from the perspective of an undergraduate. He said that it is necessasy to be self-motivated and self-reliant, even in times of difficulty and stress. He warned that they should resist nihilism and continue to search for purpose as they progressed through their studies. He illustrated some approaches for developing good study habits and techniques. Finally, he wished all the UFS graduates a life full of happiness.

Finally, 2016 UFS graduates presented banners, books and a table tennis table to Hangzhou Entel Foreign Language School to express their best wishes for school and their younger brothers and sisters who study there.
