Faculty Presidents from Monash University Visited the High School Affiliated to Nanjing Normal University, Jiangning Campus

Since the University Foundation Studies (UFS) International High School Program began in 2011, more than 95% of graduates have been admitted to Group of Eight (Go8) universities in Australia. UFS graduates have been crowned as champions in the UNSW Global Examinations for four years in a row and have subsequently performed well at university. These outstanding achievements have been recognized by other Australian universities and consequently, on October 18th, 2016, faculty deans and admissions directors from Monash University (a Go8 member, currently ranked in the top 60 in the QS World University Rankings) visited the High School Affiliated to Nanjing Normal University, Jiangning Campus.

In the lecture hall, deans from the Faculty of Information and Technology, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Science gave a detailed introduction to the different courses and degrees available to students.


Students listened attentively to the presentation and used the opportunity to ask questions throughout. The Monash University contingent were pleased to be able to share their own experiences and gave professional advice in answer to the questions.

After the introduction, Vice Principal HUANG Wei and Program Director LIU Chengping held talks with the faculty presidents in the VIP Hall and then showed them around the campus.

The faculty deans were impressed with the level of interest shown by prospective students and equally impressed with the facilities on the school campus. Their visit plays a key role in promoting mutual understanding between Monash University and the High School Affiliated to Nanjing Normal University, Jiangning Campus. Also, it will lay a solid foundation for future communication between the two institutions.
